Message:
Thank you for clearly stating some thoughts that many teachers have felt. We learn in school about self-fulfilling prophecies, told innumerable times to raise our expectations, but then are not given the same high expectations. Both your position statement and last message reiterates cooperation. I wholeheartedly agree that together the union leaders and administration should sit down and articulate clear goals and develop the appropriate mechanisms to enhance the professional development. I feel lucky that at My shcool we have many opportunities for professional development, but I know the situations are not the same everywhere.
