Welcome to our panel discussion on Technology Leadership! The Knowledge Loom is pleased to recognize, the Appalachia Educational Laboratory (AEL), for developing the content for Technology Leadership and for inviting the following panelists to participate in this discussion:

• Dr. Sheila Cory, Director of Technology Services for the Principals' Executive Program (PEP) at the University of North Carolina

  
  

• Dianne Owen, Community Liaison/Grant Writer for the Calloway County School District in Murray, Kentucky

  
  

• John Rinaldi, Assistant Superintendent for Research and Development in the Chittenden South School District, Hinesburg, Vermont

  
  

• Julie Young, Principal of the Florida On-Line High School in Orlando, Florida
  

Throughout the month of October, our panelists will share their expertise on the subject by responding to weekly questions on Technology Leadership. We invite visitors to this discussion to participate, as well.

I am Cathy Lalli, Program Planning Specialist for Educational Technology at the Northeast and Islands Regional Educational Laboratory at Brown University (LAB). I will be moderating this discussion along with my colleague, Dr. John Ross, the Instructional Technology Specialist at AEL.

I'd like to begin by asking our panelists to identify what they believe are the most critical issues facing Technology Leadership today.
