Topic:
paent/community involvement

Message:
It has been my experience in both public and private schools that the more parents are involved in their younger students education the more they will be as their child gets older, but only if it has been of signifigance either positive or negative. It is vital that schools foster an interest in the parents' involvement. In our area, it is beginning to look like a feeding freenzy with industry trying to out do one another at certain grade levels and for only a limited number of students. It seems like it would be to everyone's advantage to target a larger number of students and to have some agreement among industries enabling more studnts to be reached by their programs
