yes this is appropriate. it may be more effective to do something on a smaller scale that is more targeted....lessons in the classroom : the song, "what a wonderful word by armstrong, there is also an illustrated book, incorporate this with social studies continent/country study invite parents to a tea while kids perform and share their work
