Topic:
Augmenting Standards-based Curriculum

Message:
Teachers should understand that the use of technology in the classroom means a small set of tools that a teacher needs to be able to adapt to the lesson at hand. So, the primary use is as a tool. When we add the need for critical thinking skills, we may want to change that, as Janassen would say, to Mindtool.

Second, technology should be used for resources for teaching. Not only finding information, but connecting that information to the teacher when s/he needs it.

Third, technology should be used to show the world, including Mom, Dad, and the entire extended family, what the students has produced.
