Topic:
Our Schools Could Do More...

Message:
I agree that providing universal access to technology for all students, whether that means physical access or access related to learning preferences, is an important education equity concern. I am aware that many of our Special Education Departments work with CAST (http://www.cast.org) and may have many assistive adaptive devices. Other than trying to create a web site that is Bobby Compliant my own work has provided little first-hand observation of how this is done in our district. The technologists in our system do not work currently closely with the curricula areas. Someday I hope this will change, as the two need to work hand in hand together as a team.
