Online Panel Begins Oct. 1

Beginning October 1, 2001 and continuing for one month, four notable educators will answer a question each week about their direct experiences supporting adolescent literacy in the content areas.
You'll meet a library media specialist, English teacher, math teacher, and social studies teacher who will talk about how they integrate the teaching of literacy skills directly into their curricula. Their stories and insights are revealing and inspiring.
How will this work?
Each week The Knowledge Loom staff will post a question. Each panelist will respond, speaking from his/her own perspective. You are invited to add comments and observations. After the end of October, all the comments will remain available to spark discussions and new postings from educators nationwide during professional development initiatives that might be planned at local sites.
