Reflective Practices with Staff

Message:
Before substantive change can occur we need to be comfortable with 'looking deep into our practices'. This reflective process, focusing on what and why we do what we do can be threatening and discomforting. To establish and nurture an environment where teachers are open and honest about articulating their thoughts and beliefs we have revised our faculty meetings and grade level meetings to focus on instructional dialogue. It has been most challenging and frustrating AND a huge change for me but we are truly beginning to dig into the teaching learning process. Any tips?
