Maureen,

In our Gates Leadership projectin NH, we make use of a set of Graphic Organizers developed by David Hyerle called Thinking Maps. Its a great way to capture thinking without being judgemental. The maps can be used in a cooperative group model so you can break up different groups in your building. One way to start this process in a "safe" environment may be to pick a professional reading or article and ask something like, "What information can we gain from this reading?" or "What did the author not consider in this reading?" It will create dialog and trust, then you can build to connect the data to their own practices. Feel free to get in touch with me if you want to discuss this further.

Dan

This is worth the effort! Go for it!
