Art at home

Message:
Amy: I had another thought about students finding their own supplies, supplemented by some basics like scissors, glue, etc. Short, infrequent art classes are the norm in public schools. If what we do in art teaching is to have any meaning and usefulness in the life of the students it needs to be transferrable to their lives at home. If we help students to make art from materials they have collected themselves, it is likely that they will be able to make such art on their own away from school.
