BIG Committees

Message:
Running effective meetings is always a challenge especially when there are a lot of members. (Often big committees are established because there is little trust among members. If that's the case then you should try building some trust.) Some rules to meet by:
1-Establish ground rules.
2-Decide how the committe is going to decide, i.e. majority, consensus, etc. (Majority decisions are okay for certain things but not for others. A small majority leaves a large group that may not be happy.See national election results!)
3-Establish sub-committees with particular expertise or interest and let them investigate and recommend.
4-Create action plans with "who" and by "when" something gets done.
Your action plan should include what obstacles could block completion of the decision.
