About the Good Models of Teaching with Technology (GMOTT) Spotlight

This Knowledge Loom Spotlight presents good models for successfully integrating technology into the classroom for teaching and learning, along with examples of the models in action in actual schools and districts. Use this resource to support local decision-making and as content for onsite professional development.

The content was prepared by NEIRTEC, the Northeast and Islands Regional Technology in Education Consortium. NEIRTEC, which discontinued operations in 2005, consisted of several partner organizations working together to share resources and knowledge to support technology in education. The partners included: Educational Development Corporation (EDC), TERC, the Education Alliance at Brown University, and Learning Innovations at WestEd. In this spotlight you can do the following:

• read about the practices
• review research that identifies and supports them
• view stories about the practices in real schools and districts
• learn to replicate their successes in your own organization
• add your own stories and bits of wisdom
• browse questions answered by specialists in the field
• view an online panel discussion
• discover supporting organizations and resources

This collection will continue to grow and change as users share their experiences and concerns relative to teaching with technology.
