In Response to Kathy Douglas's Art Show...
I really connected with Douglas's problem with her school's art show. When-ever I went to a school art show, people would be quick to pass over work by students they didn't know. It was often fustrating because it seemed to completely defeat the purpose of an art show. I love how students in Douglas's class are not only particiapting in an art show, but complete the artist process by being able to show they favorite work. I understand the reason for limiting the art show to the third grade, but I wondered if Douglas planned any events to allow younger students to share their work with their peers.
