Marsha Paulus Nicol is an Assistant Professor in the Education Department of Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. She received her Ph.D. in mathematics education from The Ohio State University and teaches mathematics methods courses for Pre-K to 12 preservice teachers. She also teaches mathematics courses for the Mathematics Department at Capital. Dr. Nicol is Co-Principal Investigator with ten faculty across disciplines for an NSF-funded grant to develop a computational science minor. She is also Project Director for an Ohio Regents Grant to develop a course for "Profound Understanding of Middle Grade Mathematics." She is Co-Editor of the Ohio Journal of School Mathematics, author of several articles and book chapters, and President of the Central Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
