Susan Naysnerski

K-4 Technology Coordinator
Narragansett, RI

Susan Naysnerski is the K-4 Technology Coordinator in Narragansett, Rhode Island. She has been involved in the field of technology for 34 years, beginning as a financial computer programmer. She has taught Kindergarten, Pre-One, Second Grade, and Enrichment in the Narragansett public schools, before assuming the position of technology coordinator.

Susan has provided leadership for instructional technology at Narragansett Elementary School for 19 years. During the years of her classroom teaching, this role was a stipend position, until the needs of the school became greater than the time allowed. Through embedded professional development and technology workshops and courses, teachers are learning to integrate and infuse technology into all curriculum areas. With the completion of curriculum revisions that are currently occurring, standards-based technology activities will be aligned with curriculum standards.

Susan has been a trainer for the Rhode Island Teachers and Technology project for four years and serves as treasurer for the Rhode Island chapter of the International Society for Technology in Education. She received her BA and teaching certificate from the University of Rhode Island and earned her MA from Lesley College in Technology in Education.
