Until his retirement July 2001, Mark Grashow taught mathematics at Abraham Lincoln High School in Brooklyn for 35 years. In addition to math, his great love was the community service club that he advised for 25 years. Mark met with 60 students a day during their lunch period to plan 30 service events each year. He also advised the school's Rainbow Alliance and headed the union chapter for 15 years. He has won numerous awards and was twice selected as Teacher of the Year for the Brooklyn and Staten Island schools. Mark is always eager to assist other schools in their development of meaningful service programs.
